The Planet we have left​

OBJECTIVES

To promote conservation and respect for the environment.
To raise awareness of current problems such as waste generation, pollution, climate change, the greenhouse effect, consumption.
To promote good practices for the conservation of the natural environment.
To rehabilitate areas close to the participants by collecting and removing waste.

DEVELOPMENT

Publication of the new magazine “The Planet we have left” and distribution to educational centres. School trips were organised to get to know and value the natural environment and how to preserve it. Waste removal activities were carried out as actions to restore the natural environment.
Because of Covid-19, the outings were carried out in small groups in areas close to the schools, with repeated outings by the same schools. Other programmed activities, such as talks in schools and audio-visual projections, had to be suspended due to Covid-19 restrictions, as they were held indoors.

MAGAZINES

3,000 magazines were published. For the first time it was published in languages other than Catalan; editions were produced in Spanish and also in English.

PARTICIPANTS

A total of 450 pupils from schools in Binissalem (7 days at Llacunes de Can Figuera), Llubí (2 days at Torrent de Vinagrella), Campanet (2 days at Fonts Ufanes), Búger (1 day at Bosc de l’Anglès) and Lloseta (2 days at Torrent d’Almedrà).
